Today, I’d like to share a beautiful moment I experienced recently. This photo was taken on my way home after completing a sushi catering job. The Tokyo Tower at sunset was softly lit by light peeking through the clouds—it was a breathtaking scene.

Wonderful Young Customers Full of Energy

The event I catered today was a party attended by a group of young people. They were cheerful, friendly, and full of laughter throughout the gathering.

As I made sushi, watching them talk and smile with each other made me happy too. Bringing people together over delicious food, and being able to support such moments through sushi—that’s the real joy of this job.

A Quiet Scene and the Thoughts of a Sushi Chef

On my way back, I happened to look up and saw the Tokyo Tower with an airplane flying past it. Bare trees marked the end of winter, standing quietly in the foreground.

It was a deeply moving moment, with the sense of fulfillment from making the customers happy and the calm beauty of Tokyo in the evening merging together.

As a sushi chef, being able to support someone’s special occasion and bring joy to their gathering—that’s a true blessing.
