Smooth Work & Private Life with Two Phone Numbers!

Hello everyone, this is Sushi Hatake! Today, I’d like to share a little update about a new phone setup I started using.

I Got a New Number for Work!

Today, I got a brand new phone number dedicated just to work. Until now, I was using one phone number for everything, but I realized it’s time to separate work from personal life more clearly.

I’m expecting more inquiries and bookings in the near future, so I figured handling everything through just one number might get a bit overwhelming. I also want to be able to instantly recognize if a call is for business.

One Phone, Two Numbers — Thanks to Povo SIM

As shown in the photo, I chose a SIM card from Povo. The instructions in Japanese are super easy to follow, and the setup seems simple. With this SIM, I can now use two phone numbers on one device.

Just insert the card and adjust the settings through the app—quick and easy! There are different sizes available, so it works with most smartphones too.

Two Numbers = More Flexibility!

I'm really looking forward to managing two phone lines!

From now on:

  • Business calls will go to my new number
  • Personal calls will still come through the usual one

That way, when the phone rings, I can instantly switch to “work mode” if it’s a business call.

I can also silence the work number in the evenings or avoid answering it on my days off. This lets me protect my personal time while still staying professional.

First Impressions After Using It

Even though I just got it today, I already feel the benefits of separating work and private life. At first, I worried two numbers might be a hassle, but it actually feels like a huge convenience.

Final Thoughts

Having a dedicated number for work helps keep communication organized and stress-free. If you’ve ever felt overwhelmed by mixing personal and professional calls, I highly recommend trying a second phone number!
