The Complete Guide to Corporate Sushi Catering in Tokyo | Sushi Hatake

Are you still settling for the same old izakaya or standard catering for your company events?

With on-site sushi catering, a professional chef comes to your venue and prepares sushi right in front of your guests. A familiar meeting room transforms into something special.

This guide covers everything event planners and office managers need to know about booking sushi catering for corporate events — from pricing and preparation to what happens on the day.

What Is On-Site Sushi Catering? Why Companies Choose It

On-site sushi catering means a sushi chef travels to your chosen venue and prepares fresh sushi on the spot.

Companies choose it not just because the food is excellent — there’s more to it.

The live experience changes the atmosphere

Watching a chef slice fish and shape nigiri right in front of you naturally sparks conversation. “What’s coming next?” — that sense of anticipation draws people together.

A private setting encourages real conversation

Unlike restaurants or izakayas, on-site sushi takes place at your office or private venue. No strangers around. This makes it ideal for client meetings, internal discussions, or any occasion where you want people to relax and speak openly.

Works for seated dinners and standing parties

Whether you prefer a formal seated course or a casual standing reception, we adapt to your event’s style and scale.

English-speaking chef for international guests

Chef Hirai speaks English and can explain each piece of sushi, the ingredients, and Japanese food culture to overseas guests. Perfect for events at global companies or gatherings with international visitors.

Mixing courses is welcome.

What to Prepare as the Event Organizer

Here’s a quick checklist to ensure everything goes smoothly.

Preparation Checklist

✅ Venue space confirmed (the chef needs approx. 1m × 2m of counter/table space)
✅ Guest count finalized (rough estimate is fine)
✅ Allergies and dietary restrictions shared in advance
✅ Drinks arranged by the organizer (bring your own — we handle the food)
✅ Seated or standing format decided

A small kitchen or pantry area nearby is sufficient — no special equipment needed. If you’re unsure about your venue, just ask and we’ll advise.
